2010 Main Event - [click here for slide show]

After trying to win the Main Event for 5 years, Mike Endres was at last successful.  He had previously finished as high as 2nd and 3rd, but had never been able to seal the deal... until now.  In 2009, Endres made it to the Main Event having won 3 tournaments that year and had a starting stack of 13,500.  However, he didn't even cash in the top 3.  When the tournament got down to three-handed play this year, little did the players know that there was still 2 and half hours of poker left to play.  During that time, all three players took turns being chip leader and short stack.  Jeff Siegersma arguably had the worst luck of the three players, as Eddie Tauler made straight after straight against him while Endres survived a 5 outer all-in on the river.  For the first time in Main Event history, there was a qualifier that could not attend.  Phu To was in New York while the Main Event went on.  His ghost stack had a strong showing as it finished in 5th place!  A special thank you goes out to the Martins for hosting!
